The Right Fit College Coaching

Ever wonder if there's more to finding the right college than test scores and GPA?... Or where your best friend is going...Or where your parents went to school...There is!

You need a school where you'll be comfortable socially and emotionally too. That means thinking about the social and emotional aspects of you, and your individual needs:

  • Who are you, really?
  • What do you love to do?
  • What inspires you?
  • Why is it important to be aware of this when looking at colleges?

I started college at the wrong school - it didn't take long for me to realize that it just wasn't the right place for me. Actually, I think I knew that before I went, but no one ever sat me down to ask what was really important to me, or suggest that I try to find something that might be a better fit. I started this program because sometimes you just don't know what you want, or how to figure that out, and you make decisions for the wrong reasons. I'd like to help you know what's right for you, so you can have a college experience you'll love.

The Right Fit College Coaching is a combination of individual coaching and workshops which can be taken together or separately.

For Parents

College is the biggest investment you'll make in your child's future...what is the value of finding the right fit?

There's more to choosing a school than test scores and GPAs. For teens to find an environment that is comfortable and inspiring, and most conducive to their learning and growth, they should also consider the following:

  • Core values and personality type - who is your teen as a person?
  • Social, Emotional and Academic Needs - how will those needs be supported at the school?
  • What inspires them, what do they love to do?

Being aware of these things can help teens choose a school that is right for them, and give them the best college experience possible.

Individual Coaching

  • Are you caught between choices?
  • Frustrated by indecision?
  • Is there a particular issue or doubt that's bothering you?

Coaching can help you get clear on what you want and deal with doubts surrounding the decision making process. In four coaching sessions we'll move you from unsure to confident!

Workshops

Experiential workshops combine fun coaching exercises that probe deep into who you are and what's important to you, with discussions so that you can share your opinions and find out how other teens are dealing with the college application process.

Meditation for Teens

Have you ever tried meditation? Think it sounds boring? Think again!

Meditation can actually be very cool, and the best part about it is you always feel better after you meditate than you did before you started.

Meditation can help you increase your focus/attention, reduce stress and anxiety - test anxiety in particular, deal with emotions, clear the clutter from your mind and find some inner calm, relax, and know yourself better.

You can start meditating right in the comfort of your own room where no one will see you - just sign up for a teleclass to get started.
