About Coaching
Coaching is a supportive relationship between the coach and the client that empowers the client to draw upon their own abilities and potentials so they can achieve lasting lifestyle changes.
The coaching relationship begins with the client acknowledging where they are in life and where they would like to be. Coaching is focused on future possibilities and does not necessarily explore past experience. Deep insight into problems and challenges in life can be gained without this exploration of the past. It is important to note that coaching is not counseling, therapy or consulting.
Most coaching takes place over the phone, often in weekly sessions that last from 30 min. to one hour. Coaches work with individuals and with groups. Your coach will work with you in identifying what you want, finding your innermost values and goals, and encouraging you to take action towards acheiving those goals. Coaching can address all aspects of wellness and help clients create happier, more fulfilling lives.
